Winter has hit Parry Sound – Muskoka with a flurry. Between 15 and 25 cm of snow is expected this weekend alone. Be sure to check road conditions before hopping in the car for a snow day adventure!
Here’s a few Muskoka winter activities to ponder…..
Visit the Lions Club Pavillion in Magnetawan for some skating. The Municipality of Magnetawan’s ice rink is open to the public for free. There are two heated changing rooms so your toes can stay toasty while making the swap from boots to skates. Be sure to check the schedule to make sure it’s a public skating time, or a hockey time if that’s your thing.
Go for a swim. The Bracebridge Sportsplex and the Huntsville Summit Centre are both fantastic options for winter swimming. Public swim times
Cross Country Ski. Both Parry Sound and Muskoka have trails in almost every municipality. Visit Arrowhead or Algonquin Provincial Parks for some beautiful trails, or check out one of our local ski clubs.
Snuggle up on the couch with some hot chocolate and a movie after your winter escapades.
